A Matter of Harmony in Africa

The Akan tribe, who live on the shores of Western Africa, have a system of symbols which they call Adinkra, one of which is called ‘’Osram ne Nsoromma’ which represents the harmony between man and woman. This symbol represents the story of the North Star who every night awaits the return of Moon with undying love, and is therefore believed that the symbol represents the sanctity of marriage.

It seems that it is very difficult for men and women to live in harmony because of the fundamental differences in their nature. But when love comes into the picture, true happiness can be found. One thing is for certain: Love has the power to connect everything on this earth and bring peace.
