Chi Ka Ra (Endurance)

Chi Ka Ra (Endurance)

A Matter of Strength in the Far East

Kanji is one of three alphabets used in Japan, with its roots in the Chinese alphabet. Words are not composed of letters, but rather ideograms, each of which has a meaning. For example, flowing like water means poetry, and a figure of a woman and a man in a box means marriage. The Kanji alphabet contains almost 20,000 ideograms including Chi Ka Ra; representing physical strength and endurance, this form is reminiscent of muscles that are being flexed.
