A Matter of Elements in Nature
Our ancestors believed that there were 4 elements which led humanity to transition from chaos to a settled life. These elements are fire, earth, water and air. Scientists have examined these four elements in four states: solid, liquid, gas and plasma. In alchemy, among the four elements, blood is associated with fire, body with earth, emotions with water and breath with air. A fifth element completes them as the spirit. While the explanations for these elements have differed over time, they have always remained on the front burner. Earth symbolizes the physical body and materialistic world. It is steady, feminine, and difficult to change. It consists of both existence and annihilation, and is the foundation of our existence. It is humility, fertility and compassion.

You get the idea: If you say that you can’t feel anything, that your emotions are dried out, just give yourself some water. And never forget that water is no joking matter.
