A Matter of Elements in Nature
Our ancestors believed that there were 4 elements which led humanity to transition from chaos to a settled life. These elements are fire, earth, water and air. Scientist have examined these four elements in four states: solid, liquid, gas and plasma. Alchemy describes the four elements as blood fire, body earth, emotional water, breathing air, and a fifth element described as the elements of the human spirit. While the explanations for these elements have differed over time, their importance has remained a constant. Water is emotional, feminine and is the symbol of intuition. It tells us to go with the flow when living life. It symbolizes sleep, secrecy and the subconscious. It can be both the giver, and the taker of life.

Our ancestors believed that human beings consisted of these 4 elements, and that illnesses and differences in behavior originated from these elements. You get the idea: If you say that you can’t feel anything, that your emotions are dried out, just give yourself some water. And never forget that water is no joking matter.
