A Matter of Elements in Nature

Our ancestors believed that there were 4 elements which led humanity to transition from chaos to a settled life. These elements are fire, earth, water and air. Scientist have examined these four elements in four states: solid, liquid, gas and plasma. Alchemy describes the four elements as blood fire, body earth, emotional water, breathing air, and a fifth element described as the elements of the human spirit. While the explanations for these elements have differed over time, their importance has remained a constant. Air represents our minds, through which we make our decisions. It is willpower, reasoning, masculinity, and optimism. It accepts the leadership of the mind.

Our ancestors believed that human beings consisted of these 4 elements, and that illnesses and differences in behavior originated from these elements. You get the idea: If you are feeling uncertain, can’t think clearly and can’t explain your problems, then change your mood. Put yourself in a good mood, whatever the weather outside!
